Marcus became interested in missions while on a short-term mission trip to Mexico in the summer of 1996 with Dayspring Outreach. He subsequently went on many more trips still feeling that God desired more than just a week every summer. Following a trip in June of 2003, Marcus decided to become involved with Dayspring Outreach Ministries by attending the Discipleship Missionary Training Program. After completing the DMT program, Marcus returned again to Mexico and worked as staff with the DMT. In 2007 Marcus Directed the Program, and then met Veronica, who also worked as a staff member. The two were married in 2008 and now are working together in ministry.
Marcus, Veronica and son Joel are currently living and working in El Higo, Veracruz. There they are working to open the Orphanage, and also serving as the local leaders of the area, helping Dayspring communicate and work with the Mexican churches there, as well as with the local government in regards to the orphanage.
